We Have Some News…

We have some news…

It’s kind of big…

Not too big but big enough…

To fit our whole family plus some if the need arises…

Maybe you’re picking up what I’m throwing down?

Or rocking what I’m rolling?

Reading the same page?

Yes?

[Just get to it Sheena.]

WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!

Well, technically we’re under contract and close next month but we’ve been under contract for a good month now and everything is ready, set, go but we are holding on to every last day of that interim period as we can so as to save as much $$ as we can because, yep, you probably guessed it…it’s a FIXER UPPER!

I’ll share a whole house tour and more details later but to whet your appetite for befores, here’s the kitchen:

Complete with blue mosaic linoleum from the 80’s, wallpaper, and a rotary phone (definitely staying!).  ;)

It is going to be fun.

  1. Yay!! So exciting! And I LOVE that window nook area! Can't wait to see the rest. Also, we had a phone exactly like that in our kitchen growing up- haha, not long ago I was telling my husband our kids have no idea about talking on the phone and pulling the cord as far as it would go, or how big a deal a cordless phone was. :)

  2. So exciting, congratulations! That kitchen reminds me SO much of John & Sherry Petersik's (Young House Love) kitchen before they renovated it except for like the mirror opposite. Can't wait to see the updates you make!

  3. Congratulations! I can't wait to see what you do with this! Also, I love rotary dial phones. My grandma refused to ever give hers up.

    1. Haha! My grandma still has hers too! I guess they have the privilege of always knowing where their phone is. :)
