One Year Later

I'm just going to slide right on in here like it hasn't been a whole year since I typed out some words in a post and hit publish...

Aaand so, I'll just cut to the chase.

We had another baby this past March.  Theo Francis - swallowing the family weight record by a whole pound and a half at 9 lbs. 3 oz.

He's everything we've ever wanted and more and we're all smitten kittens, especially his bff.

But thanks to the dog days of late pregnancy (maybe all of pregnancy?), newborn life, and everything (EVERYTHING) that comes with having a big family, we haven't had much time for anything else.

Much time is the key though because we did manage to carve out a few seconds for a couple of projects that I'm excited to share with you if I ever find a little more time to punch out a post or two.

I'll start quick with the little powder room off our kitchen.  This was an I-need-to-break-away-from-the-newborn-fog-and-do-something-creative project.

You probably guessed it if you've been reading my stuff for awhile but nope, that's not wallpaper.  It's hand-painted and it was SO easy to do - I'll tell you how.  I also did something I've been wanting to do for a long time - update one of the first projects I ever wrote about here on the blog.  That involves the frames behind the door.  All the details later.

It feels good to exercise the fingers again!  I hope you had a wonderful 2025 - the good, the bad, and the ugly.  It's part of what has shaped you for 2026 so take it and run!

Happy Thursday!
